Nikoletta Veress is an animation director and animator whose work focuses on translating emotions and human relationships into distinctive visual narratives. She creates films that balance observation, humor, and imagination, often placing familiar situations in unexpected worlds. Her approach combines a strong interest in storytelling with a playful visual sensibility, allowing personal and universal themes to meet on screen.

She earned both her BA and MA degrees in Animation from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME). During her studies, she directed several short films, published comics, and participated in video game development and video mapping projects, developing a multidisciplinary approach to visual storytelling.

Her films have been screened at numerous international animation and film festivals across Europe, North and South America, and Asia. Alongside her independent filmmaking practice, she has collaborated with animation studios, creative agencies, and cultural projects in a variety of roles, from animation and design to concept development. She currently works as a freelance animator and director, creating both personal and commissioned work while continuing to explore new ways of telling stories through animation.
